As Chief Quality Officer for Worldwide Operations at Sun, Lew Feucht is responsible for driving Operation's Quality policy, processes, and Quality Management System. Our aim is to be the best in the industry in how we manage quality, by driving decisions based on high quality data, by pushing the detection of quality defects as far upstream to their source, and ultimately, by prevention of these defects at their source.
Prior to his role as Chief Quality Officer, Lew was responsible for managing Sun's High End Server line in Operations, directly responsible for the cost, quality, order lead time, and time to market. Prior to that, Lew was responsible for Sun's Hillsboro, Oregon Operation, which included Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Management, Order Fulfillment and Logistics for Sun's High End Server line.
Lew joined Sun in 1996 as a result of Sun's acquisition of the Cray Research Business Systems Division. Lew served in various Operations and Quality roles for Cray Research. In 2002, Lew was named one of seven distinguished recipients of the 2002 Sun Leadership Award and participated in the inaugural Director's class of Sun's Leadership Institute. Lew is a member of the ASQ.
