Amador Lucero

Amador Lucero is a Vice President of Network Operations and Engineering for Qwest. In this role, he oversees the network operations reliability center (NROC) which monitors Qwest?s external and internal voice and data networks, including all TDM, data, optical, radio and digital subscriber line (DSL) connectivity.
Amador has spent more than 36 years in the telecommunications industry. Previously, he has served in leadership roles in sales and support, human resources, IT and data networks. Amador was appointed to his current position in 2001. Since then he has increased network reliability significantly and taken over responsibility for local and global voice and data networks. In addition to managing the NROC, his organization is responsible for Qwest’s Internet service provider network, technical support for all Qwest services and equipment, and network security monitoring and correction for Qwest’s customers and internal network.
Amador has an electronics degree from Mesa Community College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix in 1986. In addition, he received an MBA from Arizona State University in 1994.
Amador and his wife live in the Denver area. They have three grown children - two daughters and a son, as well as two grandsons.
