Pierre L. Cyr is Vice President, Global Quality & Customer Satisfaction for Alcatel-Lucent. His responsibilities include corporate TL9000 registration plans, performance scorecards, quality assurance tools and processes, quality improvement plans as well as customer-facing quality activities. Previously, Pierre was Vice-President, Quality & Customer Satisfaction for the Internet Protocol (IP) Division.

Prior to these roles, Pierre was Vice-President & General Manager of Alcatel Network & Service Management Product Group in the IP Division. In that role, he had global P&L accountability and was responsible for Product Management, Product Development, Customer and Sales Support, Quality and Customer Satisfaction for a suite of Operations Support System (OSS) products.

Pierre joined Alcatel through the acquisition of Newbridge Networks (a small, yet international telecom supplier), where he held several positions of increasing responsibilities in Program Management, Business Services, New Product Introduction and Customer Support.

Pierre has over 25 years experience in the telecom industry. He started his career at Nortel as a Customer Engineer where he supported the deployment of Digital Loop Carriers (DLC) in North America. Later, he held management positions in Product Management and Quality Engineering.

Pierre holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Telecommunications. He is also a Certified Advanced Technology Manager. He resides in Ottawa, Canada.
